Elon Musk launches a series of attacks on Romania: "How can a judge destroy democracy?". What he says about a visit to our country

Billionaire Elon Musk launched new criticism against Romania after the Central Electoral Bureau decided to invalidate Călin Georgescu’s candidacy for the presidential elections. Following critical comments posted on Sunday, he returned Monday morning by sharing a comment from influencer Mario Nawfal. He stated that the decision of the authorities in Bucharest represents a threat to democracy.

Also on Monday, he commented on a post by an influencer announcing that Elon Musk is coming to Romania in April.

Musk's Reaction: Accusations of Power Abuse

Monday morning, Musk shared on the X platform a message from conservative influencer Mario Nawfal, who strongly criticized the police intervention in the protests in Bucharest.

"How can a judge put an end to democracy in Romania?" Musk wrote, suggesting that invalidating Georgescu's candidacy is the result of a politicized intervention.

It is not clear which judge Musk referred to in his criticisms, as the decision was a collective one.

Previously, Musk had commented on another post, belonging to Swedish journalist Peter Imanuelsen, who claimed that "Romania has banned Călin Georgescu from running for president," referring to the fact that he was a favorite in the polls.

"BREAKING: Romania has BANNED Călin Georgescu from running for president. He won the first round of voting before it was canceled. Now he leads again in the polls. So now they simply banned him from running. By the way, this is happening in a country in the EU," he wrote.

"It's insane," commented Elon Musk.

Is Musk Coming to Romania?

Also on Monday morning, Elon Musk commented on a post by a user on the X platform, whom he follows. The user wrote that the billionaire would come to Romania at the beginning of April and asked Elon Musk not to do so because Romania "is not a democratic country" and suggested that the billionaire could be assassinated, News.ro reports.

"RUMOR: There is information that Elon Musk will travel to Romania on April 4, 2025. I would like to express my objection to this visit. The US cannot afford to lose him, and Romania has shown that it is not a democratic country. It doesn't work, Elon..." - the post from the X account "amuse," followed by Elon Musk. The anonymous account apparently belongs to an American who declares himself a conservative.

"It's probably wise of me to prioritize security, considering the crazy times we live in," reassured Elon Musk in his response, leaving the hypothesis that he could be assassinated to linger.

"I'll stay in America unless the president asks me to travel internationally," added the owner of the X network.
