A small plane crashed on Saturday in the yard of a company in Arad, Romania. Two people died.
The Arad Emergency Situations Inspectorate announces that the plane crashed in the yard of the former Astra Vagoane factory on Calea Aurel Vlaicu in Arad. The factory has been closed since June.
Three emergency crews from the County Ambulance Service (SAJ) and one crew from SMURD rushed to the scene.
Two men were found at the scene. Ambulance representatives report that both victims were declared deceased. It is not yet known if both men were in the aircraft.
The call to 112 came around 11:30, writes the local press.
Authorities have isolated the area and are set to determine the circumstances of the accident.
At this time, it is not known where the plane took off from or to whom it belonged.
Representatives of the Arad International Airport have informed that the aircraft did not take off from Arad Airport.
