- Adolescents Recruited by Russia on Telegram – The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) announces that over 800 Ukrainians – including 240 minors, some as young as 11 years old – have been recruited online by Russia for sabotage acts, according to the BBC. The case of a 17-year-old teenager caught trying to plant a bomb in a military van after being promised $2,000 illustrates the extent of the phenomenon. Recruitment takes place on Telegram, TikTok, and gaming platforms, with children lured by money. The attacks are orchestrated by Russian agents who exploit social vulnerabilities.
- US Accelerates Anti-Russia Legislation – „With Trump’s blessing,” Congress will advance the comprehensive sanctions bill against Russia, announced Senator Lindsey Graham, cited by Kiev Independent. The new version includes secondary sanctions for Moscow’s trading partners but protects Ukraine’s allied states. The project, supported by 84 senators, comes after the White House requested flexibility in implementation, allowing the president to decide which entities will be sanctioned. The goal is to reduce the Kremlin’s ability to finance the war.
- Norway Grants $46 Million in Humanitarian Aid – Norway offers Ukraine an additional 465 million crowns (approximately $46 million), in addition to the amount already allocated for food security. The funds will go to the UN, the Red Cross, and Norwegian NGOs, targeting evacuations, support for children, shelters, cash transfers, and demining. In total, Oslo will provide 3 billion crowns by 2025 for Ukraine and refugees in the region. The aid also aims to transition the „Grain from Ukraine” initiative to a new format, focusing on food partnerships with Africa.
