Simona Halep’s retirement (at 34 years old) from tennis is still a subject of interest for Americans.
Simona retired from tennis in 2025, in Cluj-Napoca, after escaping a doping suspension, but she struggled with injuries and couldn’t return to a high level.
Americans wonder if Simona Halep will remain involved in the tennis world, perhaps as a coach, after retirement.
"Simona Halep is a player who has left a significant mark in the tennis world, fans nostalgically remember her achievements. The Romanian retired in 2025. (…) Simona did what was best for her. The question remains whether she will be involved in the tennis world, in one way or another, as a coach or a member of a tennis organization.
It seems that these things do not concern her at the moment," writes Tennis World USA.
Simona was invited to the 2025 edition of the Champions Tournament, where she served as an ambassador.
