The legendary Fabio Capello has issued a warning to Cristi Chivu (45 years old), the coach of Inter.
After Atletico Madrid – Inter 2-1, Capello identified a significant flaw in Inter. The Italian noticed how, after scoring a goal, the „Nerazzurri” slow down the pace of the game and ease off.
Capello believes that Chivu has not managed to eliminate this aspect from Inter's game.
"Chivu has not been able to eliminate a characteristic of Inter. They play very well, at maximum speed, create a lot, then score and stop. They slow down the pace. Chivu has not managed to eliminate this flaw of the team," stated Fabio Capello, as quoted by the Italian press.
Inter was defeated by Atletico Madrid with a score of 2-1 in the Champions League, after Gimenez scored with a header in extra time. Chivu's team is coming off a bitter loss in the Derby della Madonnina against AC Milan (0-1).
This is Inter's first defeat of the season in the Champions League, following four consecutive victories.
