Virgil Ghiță, officially presented at a double champion of Germany

Central defender Virgil Ghiță has been transferred to the German team Hannover 96, a former double champion in Germany.

The Germans paid a significant amount, 700,000 euros, to the Polish team MKS Cracovia, and the player signed for 3 years. The former Farul player, a constant presence in the national team since being appointed as head coach Mircea Lucescu, has hit the jackpot in his career.

Hannover 96 is currently in the Zweite Bundesliga, but has high hopes for promotion next season.

"I am very happy to be here and play for 96. A new journey begins here, and I am excited to contribute from now on. Overall, after discussions, I was quickly convinced that this is a very good option. I will give my all on the field to help my team as much as possible. I look forward to stepping onto this impressive stadium for the first time and seeing the fans in the stands," Ghiță stated for the official website of Hannover 96.

Although he was only used for 8 minutes in a match against Cyprus in the UEFA Nations League for Romania, the former player of Gică Hagi has been selected almost every time.

Hannover finished last season in 9th place in the second league and has been in the 2.Bundesliga since 2018/2019. The Germans have the championship titles from the 37/38 and 53/54 seasons in their record.

Virgil Ghiță's market value is 1.5 million euros, according to Transfermarkt.com.
