Ștefan Târnovanu, the starting goalkeeper for FCSB, as well as for the Romanian national football team, is one of the most sought-after players of the Romanian champions.
The red and blue team will most likely part ways with the former Iași player, as the Italian press reports a clear interest and the start of negotiations by two Serie A teams for the Romanian.
The Italians confirm that Udinese and Napoli have initiated discussions with Romanian officials to bring Târnovanu on board. Another Romanian goalkeeper, Răzvan Sava, who was brought in last summer from CFR Cluj, also plays at Udinese.
"Ștefan Târnovanu, between Napoli and Udinese: 5 million euros ready for a 'yes.' The initial discussions have already begun and could intensify in the coming weeks. Ștefan Târnovanu, one of the most promising goalkeepers of his generation, represents a potential operation for both Napoli, which is looking to strengthen for the future, and Udinese, which is seeking to develop new talents.
Gigi Becali, the owner of FCSB, the club to which Ștefan Târnovanu belongs, stated that he is willing to sell the player for approximately 5 million euros, a sum lower than the 10 million euros buyout clause, indicating a certain openness to a quick and advantageous negotiation. For the interested clubs, such as Napoli and Udinese, the operation would represent a relatively modest investment considering the player's potential. With the transfer window rapidly approaching, Ștefan Târnovanu could become one of the key figures in negotiations, especially if his performances continue to meet expectations," wrote the Italians at Europa Calcio.
Târnovanu currently has a buyout clause of 10 million euros set by owner Gigi Becali. With a market value of 4.5 million, Ștefan has made 54 appearances in the red and blue jersey this season.
