USR assumes governance, but an honest governance, with reforms, states the leader of the party, Elena Lasconi.
She says that Marcel Ciolacu and PSD must come with the exact figures related to the country’s budget situation and assume the Emergency Ordinance that should close the fiscal year.
"USR assumes governance, but an honest governance, with reforms. We have constantly conveyed total availability in negotiations. What does honest mean? Marcel Ciolacu and PSD must come with the exact figures related to the country's budget situation and assume the Emergency Ordinance that should close the fiscal year. Why do they continue to lie about the country's situation?
Is the hole in the state budget they created so big? Tell the truth, let us all know what disaster they have caused, and let's see how we can fix it. Precisely because we are on the edge of the abyss, reforms are needed. Assumed, clear, detached from populism and group interests. But a minority government is not a stable solution that can carry out the reforms we need," writes Elena Lasconi on Facebook.

She also presents the requested reforms.
"Let's start with the reorganization of the state, which, as seen, is not functional in the interest of citizens. How? Cutting unnecessary expenses, reducing the central bureaucratic apparatus, and a real reform in Justice. And the list can continue with examples from the 8 points already discussed with PSD, PNL, UDMR, and National Minorities," concludes Lasconi.
Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu announced on Thursday, on his Facebook page, that PSD is withdrawing from the discussions table for the formation of the Executive and will vote in Parliament for a right-wing government.
"PSD has endured enough of such attitudes, without commenting and without making a scene as others have done. This way of working is totally counterproductive in front of the people. That is why, PSD withdraws with dignity from the discussions table, but we do not shirk responsibility.
We will vote in Parliament for a right-wing government! We do this because this country urgently needs a Government to manage current issues until the upcoming presidential elections. Romania must not be thrown into chaos by childish attitudes and foolish pride," declared Marcel Ciolacu.
