The much-anticipated transfer in world football has happened.
French forward Kylian Mbappe has signed with Real Madrid after the Spaniards won the Champions League, and the announcement is currently unofficial, made by the renowned Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano.
The two parties have finally reached a total agreement, and starting from next season, Mbappe will wear the Real shirt, the new European champion. Mbappe had already publicly announced his departure from PSG, where he played for 7 years, accumulating 307 matches, 255 goals, and 108 assists.
"Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid, HERE WE GO! All documents have been signed and sealed. Real Madrid is about to announce the transfer next week. Mbappe made the decision back in February. He can now be considered Real's new player," Fabrizio Romano shared on X, formerly Twitter.
PSG paid 180 million euros for Mbappe in 2018, brought in from Monaco. He has won 14 trophies with PSG: 6 Ligue 1 titles, 3 French Cups, 2 French League Cups, and 3 French Super Cups. He is also a world champion with France in 2018, plus a Nations League winner in 2021.
Mbappe would receive an annual gross salary of 26 million euros at Real Madrid.
