Excellent news received by Ianis Hagi in Scotland

Ianis Hagi could receive excellent news at Glasgow Rangers in the near future.

After being reinstated to the first team by Belgian coach Philippe Clement, Ianis Hagi, a 26-year-old Romanian midfielder, still faces adaptation issues and has not yet fully gained the coach’s trust. Gheorghe Hagi’s son had to give up a clause that allowed him a salary increase to be reinstated in the squad.

However, Clement is having some issues with the Rangers management, considering the very poor results at the start of this season. The blue and white team is currently in 3rd place in the standings, and the Rangers officials are looking for a replacement for Clement.

The name emerging in the rumor mill is that of Gareth Southgate, the former England manager: "Philippe Clement's days as Rangers manager seem numbered after an unlucky start to the 2024/25 campaign, and his successor could be former England coach Gareth Southgate. 'Southgate, who is currently unemployed after leaving the English national team this summer, is the new favorite to take on the role at Ibrox, with Steven Gerrard also in the running for a return to the Glasgow club,' revealed those at Ibrox Noise."

Under Southgate's leadership, the England national team lost two consecutive EURO finals, in 2021 at home against Italy on penalties, and this summer against Spain.

On Sunday, Rangers will play against Motherwell in the Scottish League Cup semi-finals at 17:30, and Ianis Hagi is announced as a starter by the Scottish press.
