Cristi Chivu (45 years old), the coach of Inter, is preparing to sign a new contract.
The Italian press has learned that at the offices of „Giuseppe Meazza,” Chivu’s new contract is being prepared. The Romanian coach is set to extend his current agreement with the „Nerazzurri.”
Tuttomercatoweb writes that Inter will offer Chivu a contract valid until the summer of 2029, with a salary of 3.5 million euros per season.
"Cristian Chivu will extend his contract until June 2029. (…) The excellent work, seen game after game, has led Inter's owners to table a new agreement," the source cited writes.
The current contract between Chivu and Inter expires in the summer of 2027.
With Chivu on the bench, Inter is leading in Serie A with 55 points, and the "Nerazzurri" have also qualified for the Italian Cup semifinals.
