Riccardo Radu, the 19-year-old Romanian goalkeeper at Juventus, received bad news, even though he recently was part of the first team squad, in the 2-0 victory over Atalanta in Serie A.
This happened after Kamil Grabara, the goalkeeper on loan from VfL Wolfsburg, tore one of his knee ligaments, and Radu was called up by Luciano Spalletti for the match against Atalanta.
Even though there were talks that Juve would keep him in the first team squad as a backup for Gugliemo Vicario, Juve did not want to take any risks and opted for experience.
Juve reached an agreement with Neto (37 years old), who agreed to be the "number 2" at the team in Turin, as announced by journalist Fabrizio Romano. He was a free agent after parting ways with Botafogo in Brazil and agreed to a contract until the end of the current season.
Radu has a contract with Juve until the summer of 2028. The Romanian U19 international joined the "Old Lady's" academy at the age of 9 and was then named "one of the most interesting youth players of the Bianconeri," according to sprintesport.it.
The Romanian was born in Turin, stands at 1.92 meters tall, and has played for all Juventus youth teams, up to the Primavera.
