Romania is at a high level of social and political stress, similar to the period of 2024-2025, as shown by the Poll/Int Romania barometer, conducted by the Political Rating Agency between April 1-10.
The barometer indicates a major concern regarding prices and material situation, as well as a widespread dissatisfaction with the country’s general direction.
Most Romanians feel strongly affected by price increases and fear the impact of the war in Iran on prices and a fuel crisis, more than they fear the war's expansion.
Thus, when asked "What do you fear most about the war in Iran?", the majority of those surveyed, 21.3%, said they fear it will trigger an energy crisis (oil, gas).

When asked whether they were 'for' or 'against' Romania's decision to allow US military forces to deploy equipment and troops in our country in the context of the war in Iran, 35.7% of those interviewed did not express an opinion, 18.7% were in favor, 32.2% were against, and 13.4% did not know how to respond.
The survey also reveals that 52.0% of Romanians feel greatly affected by the rise in fuel prices.

The theme of changing the political system remains dominant, with nearly 40% of those surveyed desiring a change under any circumstances.

The expectation that the current coalition will endure is equally divided between those who believe it will last long-term and those who think it will soon fall apart.
