Nicușor Dan's message after the first day at Cotroceni: I know why I am here (Video)

The President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, sent a message to Romanians at the end of his first day at the Cotroceni Palace, thanking once again those who voted for him. The video message was posted on TikTok.

„First day at Cotroceni. I know I am here as a result of the campaign and your votes, for which I have no words to thank you. I know why I am here, I assure you that we will continue the partnership and we will communicate as we have done so far,” said Nicușor Dan.

The video is accompanied by a written message, in which Nicușor Dan states that the future of Romania depends on how united we will show ourselves in the upcoming period.

"I wish us to maintain the same dialogue and unity that we have shown in the campaign. This was our asset - that we worked together and we need to continue like this. The future of Romania depends on how united we will show ourselves in the period ahead," stated the President of Romania.

#NicusorDan #presedinte #romania #cotroceni #investire #fyp

Nicușor Dan was officially sworn in as the President of Romania through a solemn ceremony held in the joint session of Parliament.

The SOS and POT parliamentarians turned their backs just before the oath was pronounced. AUR parliamentarians were absent from the ceremony.

The ceremony was attended by Patriarch Daniel, as well as former Presidents Traian Băsescu and Emil Constantinescu, who sat next to each other. The first President of Romania, Ion Iliescu, was absent for medical reasons. Klaus Iohannis was also not present, and he did not provide a reason for his absence.

Nicușor Dan's daughter also came to Parliament. His wife and sick son were not present.

President Nicușor Dan, in his first speech before Parliament, conveyed a call for unity, civic engagement, and profound state reform.

He pledged to be a "president open to the voice of society and a partner with society," emphasizing that Romania urgently needs financial stability, structural reforms, and administrative efficiency.
