Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu congratulated the newly elected President of Romania, Nicușor Dan, on his victory in Sunday’s elections. The Israeli leader conveyed to Nicușor Dan his intention to strengthen the great friendship between Romania and Israel.

President-elect Nicușor Dan thanked the Israeli Prime Minister for the congratulations and conveyed his deep appreciation for the historical friendship between Romania and Israel.
"I truly appreciate your message and deeply value the historical friendship between Romania and Israel. I assure you of my commitment to strengthen the relationship between our nations, which are united by common cultural ties and a strong dedication to efficient cooperation in areas such as technology, education, culture, and the preservation of historical memory," Nicușor Dan stated in the message published on platform X.
