Dominic Fritz has passed the final test to obtain romanian citizenship

The Mayor of Timișoara, Dominic Fritz, announced that he passed the interview test and received a positive opinion to obtain Romanian citizenship. The swearing-in ceremony is next.

„Romania, here I come, I’m one of yours! I passed the interview test and received a positive opinion for obtaining Romanian citizenship. Thank you, Romania, for welcoming me into your home 22 years ago. You made me an adult, you made me European, you made me more tenacious, warmer, more inventive.

And now you made me a Romanian with all the proper documents. The swearing-in ceremony is next, at the next opportunity. Long live Romania, long live Europe!" wrote Dominic Fritz on Facebook.

Last week, Dominic Fritz complained that the test for obtaining citizenship is too difficult and said that there are Romanians who wouldn't know the answer.

The USR leader presented on his Facebook page a series of questions usually asked at the interview for obtaining Romanian citizenship.

"For example, what do you know about higher education in the Romanian provinces? Three examples of cities from medieval Wallachia. (...)

What is the Public Ministry? I know, do you know too?

List two compositions by George Enescu. I actually know the answer to this.

And then there are a few easy ones. What is the 'mărțișor'? What do you know about Steaua Bucharest? What do you know about wood sculpture from Maramureș?

List two Dacian deities. List the most important Greek colonies from the Black Sea," Fritz conveyed.
