The Trump administration bans Harvard University from enrolling foreign students

The Trump administration has taken measures to prevent Harvard from enrolling international students, escalating the conflict with the oldest university in America.

American Secretary of Homeland Security, Kristi Noem, wrote on X that the US government has revoked the „visitor program certification for students and student exchanges” from Harvard, due to the university’s non-compliance with the law, as reported by BBC.

"Let this be a warning to all universities and academic institutions across the country," she further wrote.

Harvard University has deemed this move "illegal," in a statement.

Almost 7,000 international students were enrolled at Harvard in the last academic year, according to the institution's data, representing 27.2% of its student body.
