A drone attack targeted Moscow and its suburbs on Monday evening. Several explosions were heard in the Russian capital, and an international airport was closed.
Multiple Ukrainian drones attacked Moscow and its outskirts, as reported by Ukrainska Pravda.
The Russian air defense shot down nine drones above the city, announced Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin, quoted by the RBC news agency, aligned with the Kremlin.
During the attack, a plane from the Moscow region flew very close to high-rise buildings, likely to avoid the drone threat:
Local media outlets reported explosions in Moscow.
Residents of the Odintsovo district, as well as those from the Konkovo, Kuzminki, Chertanovo districts, as well as from the city center, heard at least 10 loud noises - according to them, there were no less than ten, as announced by Nexta.
Additionally, explosions were heard in the city of Zelenograd in the Moscow region, and in the town of Nakhabino in Krasnogorsk.
No casualties or damages have been reported.
Sheremetyevo International Airport has introduced temporary restrictions on takeoffs and landings, according to Russian news agencies.
