The Frenchman no longer has the level he once had, following a serious knee injury, and briefly ended up in the Superliga, at CFR Cluj. He didn’t play much and was sidelined.
A free agent, Zouma offered himself to a Premier League team, Newcastle United. However, according to journalist Lee Ryder, "The Magpies" have decided to say "no" to Kurt Zouma's transfer, who also has Chelsea and West Ham on his resume.
Zouma only managed to accumulate 197 minutes in four matches at CFR Cluj, without standing out in any way.
He is valued at 4 million euros by Transfermarkt.
