A female driver stranded with a flat tire in Cluj-Napoca stole a man’s car who was delivering food, claiming she needed it. When caught by the man, she threatened him with a knife and sped off. The woman was pursued by five police cars to the city center.
The incident took place on Tuesday around 13:00 on Calea Turzii in Cluj-Napoca, as reported by dejeanul.ro.
A 39-year-old woman from Brașov, stranded with a broken-down car in traffic, saw a courier's car delivering food left with the keys in the ignition, got behind the wheel, and when caught by the courier, told him she needed his car because hers had broken down. She then threatened him with a knife and drove off with his car.
Several teams from the Cluj-Napoca Municipal Police were mobilized to identify the person in question. She was spotted in the area of Bulevardul Nicolae Titulescu and later intercepted in traffic at Piața Avram Iancu.
When approached by the police, the woman displayed recalcitrant behavior, requiring her immobilization.
The woman was taken to the police station for further investigation.
Additionally, she was tested with devices for detecting alcohol and psychoactive substances, with negative results.
