A batch of cow milk cheese is being recalled from Carrefour stores after the presence of the Listeria monocytogenes bacteria was reported.
Individuals who have purchased products from the mentioned batch are advised not to consume them, but to either destroy them or return them to the store where they were purchased.
The cost of the products will be refunded, without the need to present the receipt.
Carrefour Romania has initiated the withdrawal of the "Cow Milk Cheese" product, in a 400-gram package, under the Carrefour Classic brand, following the detection of Listeria monocytogenes, as reported by the National Sanitary-Veterinary and Food Safety Authority (ANSVSA).
This concerns products from batch 200 BT246, with a consumption deadline of 18.07.2025.
Individuals who have consumed this product and have a simple fever or headache accompanied by should seek medical advice and report this consumption.
Pregnant women, individuals with weakened immunity, and the elderly should pay special attention to these symptoms.
These symptoms may suggest listeriosis, a potentially serious illness, with an incubation period of up to eight weeks, according to ANSVSA representatives.
