Wim Fissette, former coach of Simona Halep, received a harsh response after the revelations he made about our athlete.
When asked about Fissette’s statements (DETAILS HERE), George Cosac, the president of the Romanian Tennis Federation, came up with a tough response for the Belgian who coached Simona 10 years ago.
Cosac said that Fissette "is a frustrated person" and that "you are not allowed to speak like that about one of your students."
"I had the chance to sit next to Fissette a bit in 2014, at the Champions Tournament. I think he is a frustrated person. You are not allowed to speak like that about one of your students, who later, with Cahill, achieved exceptional performances. I think it's a biased statement," said Wim Fissette, according to sport.ro.
After parting ways with Wim Fissette, Simona Halep had a long collaboration with Darren Cahill.
Currently, Simona is coached by Daniel Dobre, while Wim Fissette is the current coach of the Polish player Iga Swiatek.
