The team that is pushing for the transfer of George Pușcaș. It will be coached by a former national team manager

Romanian striker George Pușcaș has been a free agent for a good period of time after parting ways with the Turkish team Bodrumspor.

And now there is a European team of stature insisting on the Romanian forward who has experience in Serie A with Palermo, among others. We are talking about Legia Warsaw, the team coached by former Romania national team coach Edi Iordănescu.

The 29-year-old striker was close to a move to the Portuguese Liga with Guimaraes, but the transfer fell through. Pușcaș can sign with a new team at any time, even though the transfer window has closed. He was already on Legia Warsaw's "radar" in the summer, but his salary demands were too high at that time.

"Since the beginning of the summer, the press has reported that George Pușcaș, a player with 46 caps for the Romanian national team, could end up at Legia Warsaw. Now, even though the transfer window has closed, the subject is back in the spotlight. Players without contracts can still sign with teams, and Legia has this opportunity.

Legia's coach, Edward Iordănescu, really wanted to have his former national team student in the team. However, the latest offer from Warsaw did not meet Pușcaș's expectations. Subsequently, the striker seemed close to a transfer to Portugal, to Vitoria Guimaraes, and all signs pointed to the move being completed.

However, it seems that the transfer did not materialize, and the 29-year-old Romanian striker still does not have a team. Legia can now negotiate quietly with Pușcaș," noted the Poles from gol24.pl.

Pușcaș was an important figure at Bodrum last season, scoring 8 goals and providing an assist in 34 matches.
