Romanian coach of Inter Milan, Cristi Chivu, has set his sights on a major transfer that he wants to make in this winter transfer window.
The desired name is Giovane (22 years old) from Verona, a Brazilian forward who has already started to impress in Italy, following his transfer last summer from Corinthians.
The famous pink newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport claims that the Romanian Chivu personally went to congratulate the young striker for his performance in the direct match, a 2-1 win for Inter on November 2, and the Inter bosses appreciate the South American's offensive versatility.
"Giovane is highly appreciated by Chivu. The Nerazzurri coach went to the Brazilian to congratulate him on his excellent performance after Inter's victory over Verona.
These praises will likely have an impact on the transfer market as Giovane's characteristics perfectly match the offensive profile that Inter lacks. Versatile, he can play as a forward, second striker, or winger. He is young and promising, exactly what Oaktree (the company that owns Inter) is looking for in the market," wrote the Italian journalists.
Giovane can boast three goals scored in this Serie A season and four assists in 17 matches (1274 minutes).
Inter's current squad includes 4 top forwards, namely Lautaro Martinez, Marcus Thuram, Ange-Yoan Bonny, and Pio Esposito.
