The Romanian national team will host Bosnia tomorrow in the second match of the new Nations League season, a game in which the tricolors need to erase the poor impression left after the match with Sweden.
Following a 1-2 defeat in Solna, Hagi’s team faces a tough mission on Monday at the National Arena, especially as we will play without spectators in Bucharest, considering the UEFA punishment imposed after the incidents with Kosovo two years ago.
However, the British press is optimistic and predicts a favorable outcome for us in the match against the former Yugoslavs. Just like before the Sweden match, Sportsmole's Englishmen have also predicted the final score for the Romania - Bosnia duel. According to them, it will be 2-1:
"Although neither team has shown very good form lately, Romania boasts a solid record in home matches. Additionally, the hosts' defense has been impressive at home, and Bosnia could struggle to create goal-scoring opportunities consistently," wrote the folks at Sportsmole.
Romania has won the last 5 out of six matches played at home, only losing a friendly to Canada, with a 0-3 score, in October 2025, a game back when our late coach Mircea Lucescu was in charge.
Bosnia comes after a 0-0 draw in Warsaw in their first Nations League match.
Portuguese referee Luis Godinho will officiate the Romania - Bosnia and Herzegovina clash. He will be assisted by the linesmen Pedro Martins and Pedro Almeida.
