Spain defeated England in the first round of the Nations League in a superb match played on Saturday evening at Wembley, in the heart of London.
It ended 3-2 for the reigning world and European champions, a team that had to come back from 1-2 to prevail. Lamine Yamal started perfectly with a goal in front of Tuchel’s team, taking advantage of a mistake by Guehi. However, England turned the score around in three minutes, thanks to goals from Gordon and Kane, the latter scoring with a header in the 40th minute, after a mistake by Cucurella.
The second half, however, was perfect and a football demonstration by the Spaniards. Baena scored the equalizing goal with a superb shot from the edge of the box, and Oyarazbal (74) scored the winning goal after being left alone with the goalkeeper.
In the same Group 3 of League A, Croatia defeated the Czech Republic 2-1, with a goal scored by Modric at 41 years old, in the first match of Slaven Bilic's new tenure.

For the Bulgarians, it was a historic defeat in Plovdiv, a new stain on the honor of football south of the Danube. Luxembourg struck in the 65th minute through Vincent Thill, Mannheim's forward, and the score of 2-1 remained until the end.
"It is a historic failure for Bulgaria, who had never lost to Luxembourg before. The match started with a two-minute delay, and only about 3,000 spectators were in the stands of the stadium, on a cold day in Plovdiv," Bulgarians wrote at Sportal after the match.
Bulgaria and Luxembourg are also in the same Nations League group with Estonia and Iceland.
