Simona Halep's superb reaction after witnessing the women's Wimbledon final live

Former tennis player Simona Halep, the Wimbledon champion in 2019 on the London grass, was present on Saturday in the Royal Box at the women’s final at the All England Club.

A final that made history, as Iga Swiatek incredibly easily won 6-0, 6-0 against Amanda Anisimova from the USA, the first time such a score has happened since 1911!

Our sportswoman met with Darren Cahill at the All England Club, her former coach and current collaborator of Jannik Sinner, but also sat next to Daniel Dobre, another former coach of hers. Exactly 6 years ago, Halep defeated Serena Williams in London with 6-2, 6-2.

After the match, our champion offered a reaction on her own Instagram page, where she talked about how important it is to fight and do everything wholeheartedly in order to reach where you desire:

"Today, in the Royal Box, I experienced a moment that touched my soul. It wasn't about a trophy or a performance, it was about my entire journey to this point, about every battle fought in silence. And I understood that... when you move forward with your heart, you reach further than you ever dreamed," wrote Halep on Instagram.

The Wimbledon men's final will take place on Sunday, starting at 6 p.m., between Jannick Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz.
