Fiorentina has not given up on the transfer of Radu Drăgușin this summer transfer window, and discussions with officials from Tottenham have continued.
The Romanian central defender is determined to leave this summer, considering he has little chance of breaking into the starting lineup under De Zerbi’s leadership. After teams such as AC Milan, RB Leipzig, or Juventus expressed their desire to sign him, it seems that the frontrunner is Fiorentina.
The team from Florence wanted him in the winter as well, and now the key to this transfer lies with Fabio Paratici, the sporting director of the Serie A club, who previously worked with Drăgușin during his time at Juventus.
Spurs want the transfer fee for Drăgușin to reach around 20 million euros, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, but for now, Fiorentina's officials consider the sum a bit too steep for the services of the player nicknamed The Dragon.
His market value has currently dropped to 16 million euros, as he was purchased by Tottenham from Genoa for 25 million. Consequently, in just one season, Radu Drăgușin's value has decreased by 9 million euros. Additionally, plagued by injuries, Radu has only played in 11 matches this season for the English club.
