FCSB has won the battle with „a European giant” for the transfer of a football player.
This concerns Siyabonga Ngezana (26 years old), the central defender from South Africa who signed with FCSB from Kaizer Chiefs for 600,000 euros.
FC Copenhagen, "a European giant," as described by the South African press, along with Sheriff Tiraspol also wanted Ngezana.
"Offer from a Champions League club rejected by former Kaizer Chiefs star. Siyabonga Ngezana, former Kaizer Chiefs defender, recently won his first title at FCSB, but could have been at a European giant. (…) Could have signed with FC Copenhagen," writes the website thesouthafrican.com.
The transfer of Siyabonga Ngezana from Kaizer Chiefs to FCSB cost 600,000 euros, and the South African central defender signed a contract valid until 2027.
After a period of adjustment, he played 31 matches (2631 minutes), during which he scored once and provided an assist in all competitions of the FCSB season.
