Fabio Capello praised Cristi Chivu (45 years old) for his successful performance at Inter.
The legendary coach highlighted something that Chivu did very well after taking over the team in a tense situation.
Capello claims that the Romanian coach knew very well how to "walk" into the minds of his Inter players and make them regain confidence in their own abilities after the harsh defeat against PSG (0-5, in last season's Champions League final).
"He was very good in ensuring that the defeat against PSG was quickly forgotten. Chivu deserves credit for putting the players back on the right track, making sure everyone regains self-confidence, but not only that. He made sure that everyone trusts him and what he says. (...)
Unfortunately, he didn't perform very well in the Champions League, considering the elimination by Bodo/Glimt, but, nevertheless, with an event on the horizon, we can't dwell too much on what happened in Europe, but we can look ahead to understand what needs to be improved," stated Fabio Capello, according to the Italian press.
After winning the Serie A title, Cristi Chivu can make an event with Inter, as the "Nerazzurri" are qualified for the Italian Cup final.
