Romanian international Denis Drăguș, a 26-year-old forward playing for Gaziantep, was the negative protagonist of an incident and a match in the Turkish top league.
Gaziantep faced Kocaelispor in the 22nd round match of the Turkish Super Lig. Drăguș severely irritated his coach Burak Yilmaz (40 years old), who substituted him after just 38 minutes.
Drăguș started alongside two other Romanians, Deian Sorescu and Alex Maxim. Towards the end of the first half, Drăguș lost possession in midfield, failed to chase the ball back, prompting Yilmaz to take him off the field.
The Romanian, who was nurtured by Hagi at Viitorul, has played 18 matches, scored two goals, and provided an assist this season in Turkey. He was loaned out earlier this season to Eyupspor, but didn't get many opportunities there.
Denis Drăguș' market value is €3,000,000 according to Transfermarkt.
Gaziantep suffered a clear defeat this afternoon at Kocaeli, with a score of 0-3, playing with ten men, currently in 9th place with 28 points.
