Daniele De Rossi was convinced by Cristi Chivu (45 years old), the coach of Inter.
After saving Parma from relegation, Chivu was offered by Inter to take over the coaching position, following Simone Inzaghi’s departure.
Six months after becoming Inter's coach, De Rossi, former teammate at AS Roma and coach at Genoa, was convinced by Cristi Chivu.
"Chivu was offered the continuity of the very good work done by Inzaghi, but he also put his personal touch and added quality to an already strong team," said Daniele De Rossi, quoted by the Italian press.
Cristi Chivu has now managed 27 matches as Inter's coach and has an average of 2.04 points won per game.
He has a contract with Inter until the summer of 2027.
