Cristi Chivu (44 years old), the coach of Inter, made history with the Italian team in his Serie A debut on the „Nerazzurri” bench.
The Romanian coach debuted with a spectacular victory against Torino, with a score of 5-0, after goals scored by Bastoni (18), Thuram (36, 62), Lautaro Martinez (52), and Bonny (72).
The Romanian achieved a unique performance. According to Opta statisticians, Chivu is the first coach in Inter's history to debut in Serie A with a victory by a margin of at least five goals.
A former footballer at Inter, Cristi Chivu was appointed as the coach of the Italian team this summer, replacing Simone Inzaghi, after having saved Parma from relegation to Serie B at the end of last season.
