Andrei Rațiu may secure a significant transfer this summer.
Romania’s right-back is being tracked by two Premier League clubs, Nottingham Forest and Newcastle, according to information published by the Spanish newspaper Marca.
Both English clubs are interested in the services of the player registered with Rayo Vallecano and have initiated negotiations.
Rațiu has a release clause worth 25 million euros, a sum for which he can be transferred from the Madrid-based team.
Rayo Vallecano does not seem willing to negotiate the set price for the Romanian international. Spanish club officials have consistently stated that any team wishing to transfer Rațiu must pay the full 25 million euro clause.
Last summer, Rayo rejected an offer of around 18 million euros for the Romanian defender.
Andrei Rațiu has also caught the attention of one of the biggest clubs in England. Liverpool, in turn, has shown interest in the situation of the Romanian defender, but negotiations have not progressed.
