Raised by AC Milan, Andrei Coubiș (22 years old) is the new player of U Cluj and wants to play for the Romanian national team.
Coubiș has represented Romania at the youth level, but then chose to try his luck in Italy, where he was „eyed” by Roberto Mancini.
U Cluj has loaned Andrei Coubiș from AC Milan, with a purchase option, and he has arrived at the team's training camp in Antalya. Upon arrival, Coubiș stated that he wants to play for the Romanian national team under the command of Mircea Lucescu.
“I came because I think it's a very important stage in my career, I hope to help the team. It wasn't a difficult choice. I came with the intention to play and do it as well as possible. (…)
Naturally, I am one hundred percent thinking about the Romanian national team. I hope to be called up to the national team,” said Andrei Coubiș, according to Digi Sport.
Coubiș was also wanted by Dinamo in the summer, as well as by Universitatea Craiova.
