Beach vacations become cheaper with the beginning of autumn. Starting Tuesday, September 1, a new edition of the „Seaside for Everyone” program begins, with the cheapest offers starting at 39 lei per person per night.
The program officially runs until September 30, but some hotels and guesthouses have prepared offers that extend into October.
In total, approximately 67 accommodation units in 10 resorts and tourist areas are participating in this autumn edition, according to the Federation of Romanian Tourism Employers (FPTR).
Where to find the lowest prices
The cheapest offer announced so far is in Eforie Nord, where rates start at 39 lei per person per night.
The minimum prices communicated for each resort are:
- Eforie Nord – from 39 lei/person/night
- Neptun-Olimp – from 58 lei
- Costinești – from 60 lei
- Mamaia Nord – from 65 lei
- Eforie Sud – from 65 lei
- Mamaia – from 69 lei
- Jupiter – from 74 lei
- Saturn – from 77 lei
- Vama Veche – from 80 lei
- Mangalia – from 108 lei
However, it is important to note that these are starting rates. Each accommodation unit sets its own prices, the period during which it participates in the program, and the services included.
Some offers only cover accommodation, while others include breakfast or even All-Inclusive services. Therefore, prices cannot be compared solely based on the amount paid for one night.
Offers and after September 30
Although "Seaside for Everyone" officially takes place between September 1 and 30, some of the participating units have announced that they will maintain the offers into October.
Packages can also be paid with holiday vouchers, where accepted by the hotel or travel agency.
This autumn's edition also brings a significant change in the list of participants: 24 out of the 67 registered units did not participate in the spring edition.
"The tourist who comes to the seaside in September is just as important as the tourist in the peak season and must leave satisfied, with the desire to return," says FPTR President Dragoș Răducan.
The Federation argues that lower prices in the off-season should not mean poorer services, as this autumn's edition is part of the "Year of Quality in Tourism" initiative.
"Seaside for Everyone" was launched in 2001 and this autumn marks its 49th edition. The program aims to offer vacations at lower prices and, at the same time, extend the tourist season on the Romanian coast.
