Negoiță, fiery and furious, after Nicușor Dan tried to stop a construction site that he did not authorize: "He should go sit at the hairdresser, think about Bucharest!"

The Local Police of Bucharest Municipality attempted, without success, on Monday morning, to stop the works of the city hall led by Robert Negoiță, which are being carried out without authorization from PMB.

From the early hours of Monday morning, Negoiță did a live broadcast on Facebook, announcing that the local police under Nicușor Dan’s authority are abusing and trying to prevent him from easing traffic flow.

Sector 3 City Hall wants to add an extra lane in each direction on Calea Dudești

Sector 3 City Hall aims to add an extra lane in each direction on Calea Dudești. And they started working on it as early as January 2024.

The general contractor is Algorithm Construcții S3 SRL, owned by the Sector 3 Local Council.

In order to widen the road, Sector 3 City Hall needs, among other things, to relocate all the infrastructure on the street. For example, the street lighting poles.

The issue for Sector 3 City Hall is that the road segment they want to widen is not under their administration but under the responsibility of the Bucharest Streets Administration, part of the Bucharest Municipality (PMB).

And the Bucharest Streets Administration has not authorized the widening of Calea Dudești.

What Nicușor Dan's city hall says:

At the request of Spotmedia.ro, PMB provided details regarding the history of the situation.

"Following the inspection carried out on 09.03.2024, at Calea Dudești No. 191, Sector 3, it was found that the utility works that were stopped by an act called PVCSC No. 8210/202 (announced on 01.03.2024 to the general contractor) have been continued.

At the moment when the new works were stopped by workers from DGPLCMB, a trench approximately 50 cm wide and about 80 cm deep had been dug (on Calea Dudești - editor's note) from the intersection with Caloian Județul Street to about 4 m from the pedestrian crossing over Mihai Bravu Street.

The tubing for the electrical cables had been installed over a length of about 35 m, from Caloian Județul Street.

The works were carried out by the company Olimar Com SRL, a subcontractor of Luxten," PMB stated.

At that time, local police officers intended to file a complaint with the Prosecutor's Office for the continuation of works after they were stopped.

After a few days of pause, digging resumes!

In the morning of Monday, March 18, the works resumed. And the local police officers returned to the construction site.

"Today, 18.03.2024, it was found that S.C. Algorithm Construcții S3 SRL has started to continue the works on the power network for the new poles on Calea Dudești at No. 191, Sector 3, works that were stopped by PVCSC no. 8210/07.02.2024.

The workers continued the works even after the local police officers from DGPLCMB informed them that the act constitutes an offense according to Art. 24 lit. b of Law 50/1991.

The act was observed by representatives of Section 12, who requested the filing of a complaint at their headquarters," PMB stated, at the request of Spotmedia.ro.

Negoiță: No one can stop us! Nicușor Dan, at the hairdresser's!

We asked the mayor of Sector 3, Robert Negoiță, if he will stop the widening works.

"No one can stop our works! They can't!

The fact that Nicușor Dan does not recognize our building permit... that's his problem! He regrets not being able to carry out these necessary works for Bucharest and blocking us as well.

He'd better go to the hairdresser's and think a bit about Bucharest's issues. I heard him saying that overpasses do not ease traffic... how is that even possible?

I'm telling you, the works will continue! That is one of the busiest roads in Bucharest, and we are adding an extra lane in each direction.

Whether the traffic comes from Camil Ressu, from 6 lanes per direction and the street narrows to 2 lanes per direction now (on Calea Dudești - editor's note). We are adding an extra lane to help," stated Robert Negoiță for Spotmedia.ro.

This is not the first time that the Bucharest Municipality (PMB) and Sector 3 City Hall have clashed. We recall that in May 2023, Nicușor Dan held a press conference at Piața Unirii, from where PMB removed slabs and palm trees planted by Robert Negoiță's people.
