I believe that people have the right to choose whether they use a medical treatment or not, but to choose, they must be informed correctly and completely.
This wave of anti-vaccination, anti-technology, ultimately anti-medicine, emerged after the pandemic when certain formations in the political sphere, in particular, began to speculate and use this for electoral purposes.
It seems that the phenomenon is taking a very serious turn. Medical misinformation - I say this for everyone to hear - medical misinformation in my opinion kills people,” said Alexandru Rogobete on Thursday evening on TVR Info.
The Minister rhetorically questioned who is responsible for the children who died of measles because they were not immunized through vaccination.
”I would like to open a difficult and delicate subject. Romania ranks first in measles for children in the European Union, not only in the number of cases but also in the number of deaths. Deaths that could have been prevented through proper vaccination, not with vaccines made overnight, but with vaccines that have been used for 20 or 30 years. I would ask a simple question: who is responsible for these deaths, for these children who died of measles?” added Alexandru Rogobete.
The Minister announced that every time he notices a doctor advocating against vaccines, he will refer the case to the prosecutor's office, emphasizing that these doctors risk losing their right to practice freely.
