The City Hall of Bucharest has approved the organization of the pro-European rally „EuRo Manifest” for March 15, starting at 5:00 PM, in Victory Square.
„We went worldwide with Euromanifest on March 15 in Victory Square,” organizers announced on Monday, after Elon Musk reposted an announcement by influencer Mara Nawfal, whom Călin Georgescu contacted when he was stopped in traffic by the Police.
Appeal for European solidarity
In the message posted on Facebook, the organizers talk about the importance of Romania's European direction and reject any attempt to move away from Western values.
"We will not succumb to the intimidations and pressures of those who want us to turn our gaze towards the east, because even though the sun rises from there, the West has the final say, at sunset," the statement published online reads.
The organizers emphasize that the demonstration will be peaceful, legal, and civilized.
At the same time, attendees are urged to report any possible incidents or disruptive elements.
Trump's people, disinformation messages on X
Influencer Mario Nawfal, contacted by Călin Georgescu immediately after the police stopped him in traffic to take him for questioning at the Prosecutor's Office, and who disinforming by posting that the Romanian authorities had arrested Georgescu, has released a new message on platform X claiming that the rally on March 15 is an attempt to pressure the judges.
