President Nicușor Dan believes that, in the first months of his term, he has achieved his three major objectives: ensuring political stability, overcoming the critical period of the deficit, and strengthening Romania’s external image.
The head of state stated that, after this stage, he will appoint advisers at the Cotroceni Palace.
"The goal of the team of advisers is to help the president make the best decisions. Let's look at the results. We had objectives: stability. Many do not like the composition of the governing coalition, we all have a past, feelings, but if we look objectively, for Romania's stability, this was the most correct formula to overcome this crisis," said Nicușor Dan in an interview on TVR, which can be watched in full below.
The head of state specified that the second objective focused on the budget deficit issue: "The most sensitive period has passed, and we have regained confidence."
The third objective was foreign policy, added the president: "It was a great effort, all the external participation, both in conferences and in bilateral meetings, with everything that entails."
"These three objectives - stability, deficit, and regaining a sense of normalcy for Romania - have been achieved in the months since May," concluded Nicușor Dan.
Asked when he will make the first appointments of advisers, the president replied: "Very soon."
