Diana Șoșoacă was forcibly removed from the European Parliament session during Thursday’s debate on the re-election of Ursula von der Leyen as the head of the European Commission.
The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, requested that Șoșoacă be removed from the room after she interrupted speakers three times. She was now trying to interrupt the speech of French MEP Valerie Hayer from Renew.
"How many colleagues are needed to escort her out of the room? I think you have spoken enough," said Roberta Metsola amidst Diana Șoșoacă's protests.
According to images shared by party colleague Luis Lazarus, Șoșoacă raised an icon, shouting "In God we trust!"
She put on a muzzle and started shouting in English: "I have the right to speak. I was voted by Romanians."
She also had the famous black bag in which she claimed during the pandemic that the deceased due to Covid were placed. When someone tried to take the bag from her, she refused to give it, saying it was her property.
"You killed people," she accused.
Șoșoacă then continued her circus in the corridors of the European Parliament. "Where is our sovereignty? Have they decided for everyone? Why? I have a constitution, the Romanian Constitution. I have the right to speak, loud and clear. Where are our rights? Where is justice? We have no freedom of speech, we have nothing. We have a Europe that decides for everyone. We are not slaves," said Șoșoacă.
"Indiscipline and violation of rules are immediately sanctioned. She made a fool of herself," commented on Facebook Siegfried Muresan, MEP and Vice President of the EPP.
