President Nicușor Dan stated on Monday about a second term that it’s early, but in principle, he desires it because he has understood, since being in politics for 10 years, that accomplishing things in society takes time.
„It’s early, but in principle, I want it, yes. Because I’ve understood since I’ve been in politics for 10 years that doing things in society takes time,” Nicușor Dan declared on Antena 1 when asked if he’s considering a second term.
About the country's project, Nicușor Dan pointed out that the most important thing is that we are in a security context, so we must take care of the security area.

"We are near a war unfolding in a neighboring country, and we must ensure that this does not happen. And it won't happen, but of course, we must take care of that," mentioned the head of state.
He also mentioned that the second most important thing for people is, of course, the economic area.
"Romania needs to develop an economic vision. Romania needs to learn which areas it is competitive in because you can't aim to produce everything from airplanes to microchips, fertilizers in over 10 years. It needs to see what its real development potential is, and we have a few. We have our technical education that has been around for decades, superior to what is around.
Here, we need to develop the technology, IT, artificial intelligence, biotechnology area. This is something where Romania needs to stimulate. Next, we have a tradition of extractive industry, a tradition of the chemical industry, a tradition in the military industry that we can use in this context. Fortunately, we will have gas in the Black Sea in 2 years; we need to know how to use it intelligently," Nicușor Dan further stated.
