In a mix of unsubstantiated claims and conspiracy theories spoken in approximate English, Călin Georgescu told American far-right conspiracy theorist Alex Jones that „globalists” are desperately trying to remove him from the presidential race because they fear he will bring peace to Ukraine, and NATO wants to trigger World War III using Romania.
Georgescu told the famous American conspiracy theorist, the founder of the Infowars platform, that after the cancellation of the elections, Romania is in a „state of revolution,” and the EU and NATO want to trigger World War III using our country.
"It's a dangerous precedent not only for Romania but for the whole world. They have destroyed democracy. Romania is in a state of revolution because thousands of people are taking to the streets daily. People know it was a coup, an order from outside and implemented by the globalist and oligarch system in Romania," he said, declaring that he will be "a president of the people, for the people of Romania."
Georgescu accuses authorities of dividing Romanian society
Although he himself is a promoter of conspiracy theories and has made numerous unsubstantiated accusations, Călin Georgescu told Jones, a "spearhead" of the American conspiracy movement, that authorities in Romania want to divide society.
In an ironic twist, Georgescu called on the newly elected American President Donald Trump, who has relied on an aggressive electoral strategy of division for years, to intervene to control the situation in our country.
"When I said I wanted to be president to defend children, to protect families, they were already on alert because they want society to be divided, not just in Romania, but everywhere, as you know very well. For this reason, we look to President Trump to act on this situation, to send a real signal that the great change has already begun (...)," said Georgescu.
"I am proud to be part of the Romanian nation, to be Romanian, but we must also take care of humanity. I believe that Romania has shown in the last month, a month since the coup in December, that we are not playing around, that we demand our freedom and democracy back. We believe in God and in our land, and I think it sets a precedent for all nations that want to be free," continued the presidential candidate.
Georgescu then turned to the war in Ukraine, positioning himself personally as a promoter of peace and accusing the EU and NATO of wanting to prolong the conflict.
"During the campaign, I have consistently promoted peace and said we must stop the war urgently in Ukraine (...) Of course, I have nothing to do with Russia, I know some people there, scientists, not politicians. They were alarmed when they heard the word peace because they need war," he told the Infowars founder.
"The EU is the political arm of the globalists, and NATO is the military one. They are desperate that someone like me will stop the war in Ukraine," Georgescu said, emphasizing that "NATO has taken over the military leadership of the US to help Ukraine": "In other words, the most important thing to remember is that NATO is divided. President Trump wants peace, and they want to do something different, to divide NATO, to control the situation in Ukraine."
"Beyond this very, very serious situation, it is a precedent for the spirit of the Romanian people who are constantly on the streets and who defend our democracy and freedom. It is a precedent for all nations worldwide.
The situation in Europe is very difficult now because a lot of money has been invested in this war. But the tide is coming. We have seen the situation in Austria, in Croatia... it's important that the tide is coming and it will have a ripple effect not only in Europe but worldwide. I hope Trump takes action as soon as he is confirmed in office," Georgescu continued.
CG "targets" NATO and the EU
He framed the situation in Romania within a general wave of political change and announced that this is inevitable and no one can stop it.
"They are desperate. They make many mistakes. They are desperate that they are losing their positions, and they know they have already lost. They know. It's just a matter of time until Romania and other countries will be free again. It's visible everywhere. It's not easy to change the situation. I tell you honestly because they canceled the elections in December, that gave us, this great people, the power to be together again."
Georgescu also accused the European Union of not being interested in peace but in war. Furthermore, NATO and the EU want to drag Romania into war, he claimed.
"As an integrity whistleblower, I can tell you that the EU has never really discussed peace but war. Behind the war is the financial banking system. Bankers have interests. (...) All I can tell you, but it won't happen, but it's dramatic, is that they want to impose and start World War III in Ukraine, and the gateway is Romania. Only from Romania can the situation in Ukraine be controlled. But the people have instilled fear in the system. They didn't believe that people could control the situation and impose themselves to regain their freedom," he continued.
He added that NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte is trying to trigger World War III through Romania.
"Mr. Rutte tried to impose his rules and start World War III in Ukraine via Romania. They only have slaves in positions of power, there are very few leaders in the world now, in Romania they are just puppets, and now they want to impose World War III in Ukraine via Romania," Georgescu asserted.
