16 states affected by the war in the Middle East: the toll of strikes, victims and blockades

Associated Press has reviewed, country by country, the damages, casualties, and blockades so far: closed airspaces, affected embassies and infrastructures, blocked strategic routes.

Foreign governments have been urging their citizens for a few days to leave the countries in the Middle East on any available commercial flight, due to the closure of the airspace in the Gulf, the impossibility of cruise ships passing through the Strait of Hormuz, and the cancellation of flights by major airlines.

The US State Department announces evacuations of non-essential personnel and families from six countries and recommends the departure of citizens from at least 12 states. Russia, Germany, India, as well as Romania, have also organized repatriation flights.
