Representatives of TAROM airline company have announced the creation of an email address where passengers affected by the cancellation of flights on July 8 can send their requests and documents to obtain compensation.
TAROM representatives have stated that to facilitate the compensation process for passengers, a dedicated email address has been created: despagubire8iulie@tarom.ro.
Here, passengers can submit the necessary requests and documents for obtaining compensation. TAROM company mentioned that passengers need to provide the following information:
- Passenger's full name
- Flight number
- Copies of travel tickets and booking code
- If applicable, proof of payment for additional expenses related to accommodation, meals, transportation from the airport to the accommodation and from the accommodation to the airport
- Preferred compensation method (cash / electronic voucher)
The electronic voucher can be used to purchase TAROM tickets issued on TAROM operated flights (with flight number RO) within one year from the date of issue. The value of the voucher is non-refundable.
For passengers who choose to receive cash compensation, it is necessary to provide bank details in the following format:
- Beneficiary's full name
- Bank name
- Branch
- Bank address
- IBAN
- SWIFT/BIC code
- Account currency

Monday was chaotic at Otopeni Airport after TAROM canceled multiple flights, following a disguised strike by pilots who declared themselves unfit to fly.
TAROM announced on Tuesday morning that an agreement was reached with the representatives of the flight crew to resume operations as usual, after dozens of flights were canceled on Monday due to "temporary unavailability of crew members."
