Donald Trump reported earnings of over $600 million from cryptocurrencies, golf clubs, and other businesses, in a financial disclosure published on Friday that provided an overview of the vast business empire of the American billionaire president.
The statement, which appears to refer to the calendar year 2024, shows that the president’s investments in cryptocurrencies substantially boosted his wealth, with contributions also coming from real estate projects and other businesses.
The president reported assets worth at least $1.6 billion, according to a calculation by Reuters.
Although Trump stated that he placed his businesses in a trust managed by his children, the disclosure also shows how income from these sources ultimately reaches the president - a situation that has exposed him to accusations of conflicts of interest.
The White House did not immediately respond to a request for comments from Reuters.
The statement is dated June 13, without specifying the time period it covers.
Only the "meme coin" launched earlier this year by the president - $TRUMP - generated estimated fees of $320 million, although it has not been publicly disclosed how this amount was divided between an entity controlled by Trump and his partners.
In addition, Trump's three golf clubs in Florida - Jupiter, Doral, and West Palm Beach - along with his nearby private club, Mar-a-Lago, generated revenues of at least $217.7 million, according to the filed document.
It also highlighted the global nature of the Trump family's businesses, including $5 million in earnings from a real estate development project in Vietnam, $10 million from another project in India, and nearly $16 million from a project in Dubai.
