Three men have been sent to trial for rape in a case related to an incident that occurred in September 2023 at a summer school organized by AUR in the Neptun-Olimp resort. The victim is a 17-year-old girl, and the case has been sent for trial at the Mangalia Court.
The Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Bucharest Court of Appeal announced that on April 6, 2026, it completed the investigation and ordered the trial, in a state of freedom, of three defendants aged between 29 and 33, accused of three counts of rape against a minor.

### Prosecutors: the acts took place in a hotel in Neptun-Olimp
According to the investigators, the assaults took place in a hotel in the resort, on September 14-15, 2023, during the camp. Prosecutors claim that the defendants took advantage of the victim’s vulnerability and her inability to express her will or defend herself.
The acts were allegedly committed at different times over two consecutive days in the same hotel.

### Victim interviewed following a special protocol for minors
Prosecutors specify that the victim’s interview was conducted according to the NICHD protocol, used in cases involving minors, which involves open questions, avoiding suggestion, and providing emotional support.
The case has been sent to the Mangalia Court, the court that will adjudicate the matter.
The offense was reported on September 16, 2023, after the young woman had attended the summer school. She claimed that, in an advanced state of intoxication, she was assaulted by the three men after one of them took her to a room.
During the proceedings, the victim’s lawyer stated that surveillance camera footage would show „how the minor was deliberately intoxicated with alcohol.”
### AUR’s reaction at the time of the incident
AUR representatives stated that they were only aware of the situation where the minor was found in an advanced state of intoxication after her parents alerted the police.
“If they are guilty, they must be severely punished. At this moment, I heard about this rape on TV, on Realitatea, with a certificate, but not at INML, where such matters are judged. We do not defend anyone,” said George Simion at the time.
The party clarified that the girl had participated in the event with her parents’ consent, admitted to consuming alcohol, and was sent home the next day, accompanied and handed over to her family.
AUR also announced that they provided investigators with the participant lists and video footage from the hotel.
