A second man has been charged in connection with a series of attacks resulting in the burning of properties linked to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer. The British press reports that the individual in question is a 26-year-old Romanian citizen.
Romanian citizen Stanislav Carpiuc, from Romford, was detained on Saturday at Luton Airport in London and was due to appear this morning at Westminster Magistrates’ Court, as reported by Sky News.
Carpiuc has been accused of conspiring with 21-year-old Roman Lavrinovici and other unknown perpetrators to set fire to properties with the intention of causing damage and endangering the lives of others, announced the Metropolitan Police.
The charge relates to three fires. Two of these attacks took place in Kentish Town, in north London. One occurred in the early hours of May 12 at the house where Sir Keir lived before becoming prime minister and moving to Downing Street.
Additionally, a car was set on fire on the same street four days earlier, on May 8.
