The press in Scotland intervenes in the case of Ianis Hagi

The Scottish press believes that Ianis Hagi (26 years old) should have a more prominent role in the first team of Rangers.

Ianis Hagi’s latest performance at Rangers’ second team, where he scored and provided an assist, has led Scottish journalists to once again emphasize that the Romanian can be decisive even in the first team.

The Scots argue that Ianis could be a very good back-up option for Cerny and Bajrami, coming on during the game in place of one of them on the wings, and even taking their place in case of good performances under Philippe Clement's command.

"Ianis Hagi's latest moment of magic proves that he can replace two Rangers 'ballers'," headlines Rangers News.

The conclusion drawn by the Scottish press: "Ianis Hagi's most recent performance at Rangers B once again shows what he can bring to the first team if given the chance. (…) Hagi should be the back-up option for Cerny and Bajrami on the wings. (…) Clement should let Ianis show that he can make a difference at a higher level," the cited source writes.

Ianis Hagi returned to Rangers' first team at the beginning of October after resolving a contractual dispute that had led to his "exile" to Rangers B at the start of the season.
