The parking lot in front of the Departures terminal of Henri Coanda Bucharest Airport will be closed starting Monday for the construction works of the future „Otopeni Airport” metro station.
The National Company Bucharest Airports (CNAB) announces that it has taken a series of measures to reduce passenger discomfort.
Therefore, those wishing to park as close as possible to the Departures terminal are directed to use the parking lot located in the central roundabout (P3 parking), which will operate on a "short-term" basis.
The institution also states that it is currently implementing a series of projects to increase parking capacity for passengers.
The metro line works towards Otopeni Airport have also restricted traffic in several areas of Bucharest.
The Minister of Transport, Sorin Grindeanu, recently stated that the works on M6 must be completed on section 1 by 2027, and on the other section by 2028. Specifically, it will be possible to travel from Gara de Nord to Otopeni in 2028.
The total value of the construction of the two sections of metro line M6, which will connect Gara de Nord to Otopeni Airport, is approaching 10 billion lei, including VAT.
